Generations in the news. There are lots of articles out this weekend on Pearl Harbor commemorations, showing the significance of that event to living generations, and the prestige of the G.I. Generation, which is most closely connected to it.
There are also a number of articles about the Boom Generation - now fully in mid-life - and how they are facing their imminent entry into elderhood. True to form, this generation can't help but believe that they will redefine this life passage in a unique way. They are also understandably concerned about their economic future, and there are different theories about what they will face. Will their demographics result in an inevitable economic slump? Will they be undervalued, or overvalued, in the workforce? One thing is certain: they will continue to make the news!
